Use a layout only after the potato-salad recipe and the washer-processor-chest order are already clear. These three patterns are player builds. Their coin totals are reported results from those builds, not a rate the game owes you.
Vertical totem tower
This is the compact option. Each layer is described like this:
- A three-block-wide perimeter marked with stone bricks or other blocks.
- Glass around the edge so potatoes and tomatoes do not fall off the island.
- 16 conveyor belts aimed inward, four on each side of a center drop.
- Interior grass plowed and planted, about 118 to 120 seeds on a standard layer.
- Crop totems beside the plowed rows.
- More potato layers than tomato layers, commonly one tomato layer per two or three potato layers.
Items fall down the chute onto belts, then into washers. The same note places two coal totems by the washers, then routes clean crops into food processors and finally into wooden or iron chests. A 10- to 11-layer tower is reported at roughly 10 million coins of produce across five hours of continuous running. Treat that as one tower's reported output. If belts stall, items can despawn before the wash.
Wide single-floor grid
The wide pattern is a 21-block conveyor run with stone and glass borders, 44 potato totems spaced every two blocks, and 200 seeds. It is described as feeding two washing stations and two processors at once. The upfront totem cost is the reason to skip it early. Dense crops on this layout are also called out as a despawn risk when conveyors fall behind.
A walking circuit, done by hand
A third pattern avoids totem cost by harvesting on foot. The described path runs about 300 blocks from spawn toward the border and about 600 blocks across the return, with stone blocks as bumpers. A full lap is reported at about seven minutes of base walking, close to the 6 minute 15 second potato growth time, so potatoes can be ready when you come around again.
Some videos attach that path to a macro or an auto-clicker. Those tools are outside this guide. Walk the circuit yourself. The experience page bans exploiting. Do not read a macro's daily coin claim as the output of walking.
Onion plot
Onions are not a substitute potato or tomato. Till a small patch, plant onion seeds, and leave a path you can walk. Sell the harvest or keep it as its own project. Put the plot away from the salad belts so onion items never compete for the processor. Hub vendors are the reported seed source for onions and carrots.
Carrots are the bait crop: one bait is three carrots. If you are fishing for propellers, a carrot patch belongs next to storage, not inside the salad chute.
Chests and expansion
Trace one item from the plant to the chest before you add walls. Medium chests and ordinary chests both serve as the end of a line. Separate potato-salad output from ore output. The factory guide should get its own belts even when it shares the same island.
